Room behind the stage

The Green Street Green Association is a registered CIO charity (No.1172661) which maintains the Greenwood Centre. The Centre has been a very active and well-used village hall since it opened in 1952. The kitchen was refurbished in November 2013 and the hall was redecorated in August 2015. New flooring was put down throughout the hall, stage and back room in August 2017. New gas central heating radiators were installed in February 2019. The lavatories were reconfigured in August 2021, to include disabled and baby changing facilities and make the outside entrance area more accessible. City Bridge Trust provided funding for this latest project.

The hall accommodates up to approximately 100 seated or 60 with trestle tables. It is approximately 43ft x 16.5ft, with a small stage, which is 10.5ft deep. The height of the hall is 8ft at the corners and 10.75ft at the highest point (and for most of the area).
There is also a small room behind the stage, suitable for meetings of approximately 10-12 people. Length 3.78m (12ft 5in); Width: 3.23m (10ft 7in); Height: 2.3m (7ft 7in). Rates available on application.
Apart from parties (see below) the minimum hall hire period is 2 hours.

The hall is ideal for children's and family parties. Chair, tables, crockery and instant hot water included.
Available Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday (minimum hire for 3 hours at £75 - additional time £25 per hour)
Please note a £50 damage deposit must be paid at the time of booking. This is returnable after a satisfactory completion inspection following the hiring.
Other hall information
If you are looking for a larger hall, Pratts Bottom Village Hall is licensed for entertainment and accommodates up to 200 (150 seated)
The Poverest Coronation Hall has availability daytime Mon-Fri.
