VILLAGE SOCIETY COMMITTEE
Next Meeting TBC The current Chair, William Sear, stood down at the AGM so we are looking for a keen new Chair. Members wishing to join the Committee will be very welcome and are essential in order for the Committee to meet and be quorate. It cannot manage its responsibilities without additional volunteers. With enough members, each one will only need to be involved in one area, unless they want to do more. Without the Committee, monitoring of local planning issues and liaison with our local councillors and other authorities will not receive the attention it has received in the past. Please join us and enjoy being part of a committed community group. Minutes are available in the Members' Area. |

Digital Inclusion - FREE drop-in sessions monthly - next one 8 May
You are never too old to learn - nor too young!
If you or someone you know would like a friendly helper to show you how to use your device (mobile, tablet, laptop), you will be able to bring it along and, hopefully, we will be able to teach you what you need to know.
One of the Trustees, Margot Rohan, will be available to answer all your questions (to the best of her ability). Margot trained as a digital tutor and provided help to local residents at free drop-in sessions in Croydon Council. She has also given one-to-one classes for local Orpington residents of ages ranging from 30 to 80, in their own homes. Having used computers on a daily basis since the 1980s, she has a wealth of experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access.
We now have four laptops with Windows 10 for attendees to use - three kindly donated by U3A. Classes commenced in October and are from 3-5pm monthly, usually every 2nd Sunday - check the Greenwood Centre page. Contact GSGAssn@gmail.com for further information.
